Print and Online Newsletters for Internet Recruitment

All these entities offer additional services beyond newsletters (some are outlined below). Also see the recruiting networks and recruiting books pages.

  • E-Cruiting Business is part of periodic issues of the Staffing Industry Report newsletters. Also see online archive of pre-2003 back issues.
  • Electronic Recruiting News - the Bugler is their daily e-newsletter by John Sumser, whose main business is Internet recruiting seminars and consulting.
  • Employment Management Assn. (EMA) - Several publications/reports and members-only forum online. A branch of SHRM (see below) focusing on offline and online recruitment/staffing issues, such as employment advertising, retention, outplacement, etc.
  • ERExchange - Electronic Recruiters' Exchange is a Web portal with many e-newsletters, articles, active discussion groups, etc.
  • Fordyce Letter - Well-respected print newsletter published since 1980 by veteran search professional Paul Hawkinson.
  • JobMachine - Internet recruiting trainer Shelly Steckerl produces their Cybersleuth e-newsletter, also archived on the Web site, which focuses on step-by-step online sourcing techniques.
  • Online Recruiting Strategist newsletter, launched May 1999 by veteran publisher of executive recruiting/headhunter directories, Hunt-Scanlon. This is one of several paid subscription products they offer. However, you can subscribe to their free weekly newswire.
  • Recruiter.com - This particular page link on this recruiters portal has weekly-updated links to news stories related to online recruiting.
  • Recruiters Network - All kinds of resources geared to third-party recruiters, though other HR folks can join. Free and paid membership tiers.
  • Recruiting Trends newsletter (print; paid subscription) is one of many print/online newsletters and other related activities by Kennedy Information
  • Riseway - The web site of Internet recruiting consultant/trainer Barbara Ling. Many free resources.
  • Vault.com's Human Capital: For HR, Recruiters, and Managers - a comprehensive career e-newsletter for professionals. Also check out Vault.com's HR section. (May require registering on their site, but that's free, too.)
  • Weddles - twice-monthly Internet Recruitment Newsletter (physically mailed to you; fee-based). Also runs useful annual conference in Connecticut.
  • Workforce Recruiting - e-newsletter that covers recruiting strategies of top companies, published by Workforce magazine.
