Law-Focused Niche Sites/Resources with Recruiting Components
The sites in italics have a strong consumer focus, but still have resources that attract legal professionals, which makes them good for reaching the passive job-seeker. Sites focusing on particular geographic areas are indicated as such:
- American Corporate Counsel Association - ACCA is the largest in-house counsel Bar Association
- AmeriCounsel.com - Launched April 2000, this Needham, MA-based site is focused on bringing affordable legal representation online to Massachusetts residents. Its angle: flat-rate pricing for over 100 types of legal services via a pre-screened attorney network.

- FindLaw.com - separate sections for lawyers, students, public and business
- Infirmation.com features many company profiles as well as jobs.
- Law.com is a comprehensive destination for legal information, e-law services and legal products on the Web. It has channels for legal professionals (resources for attorneys, law librarians and firm management), law students, business and the general public.
- LawCommerce, launched in August 2000 by a San Francisco-based company, got 30 elite law firms to join as charter members of its national marketplace for lawyers to offer their services (also see LegalPath below), as well as provide technical legal resources.

- LegalPath is a business-to-business exchange for the legal community, helping corporations find legal help. The competition among lawyers is bringing down flat fee services approximately 30% off market rates. Expect more such legal exchanges to launch.

- TheLaw.com is supported by former New York City mayor Ed Koch. Though currently NY-focused, it should go national soon enough.

Canada-focused sites - The Counsel Network collects legal jobs from various sources into a searchable database, and is "Preferred Supplier to the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association" (CCCA).
